Our Food & Beverage Crew keeps Neptune Island guests (and staff) full and happy for the long summer days at our island oasis. Food & Beverage Cashiers & Runners are responsible for taking and preparing guest orders, stocking and inventorying items, moving products throughout the park, and keeping areas at the Neptune Island standard for sanitation and cleanliness. Cashiers & Runners will be trained to assist with preparing food and beverage items to ensure all items are prepared safely and efficiently.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides outstanding guest service.

  • Operates a computerized Point of Sale system in an efficient and timely manner.

  • Must perform to standards of South Carolina DHEC rules and regulations as it relates to food handling.

  • Ensures that all guest receive prompt and courteous attention.

  • Must be knowledgeable of menu offerings, including but not limited to food items, beverages, options, and service requirements.

  • Ensures all inventory at the food and beverage kiosk and retail is stocked according to needs and other dispensers (condiments, napkins, plastic ware and other items) are stocked.

  • Maintains clean work stations and perform end of shift cleaning duties. Including but not limited to: washing of dishes, silverware, pots and pans and grill area, sweeping, mopping and trash removal.

  • Any other duties as assigned by management, supervisors or leads.

Age Requirement

Must be at least 16 years old.

Additional Requirements

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time with exposure to direct sunlight, hot temperatures and other inclement weather.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

  • Participate in mandatory in-service training throughout the season.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds or higher, with assistance.

  • Cash handling skills a plus.
