Donation Requests

Neptune Island Waterpark receives many requests for sponsorships and donations from organizations each year. We wish it were possible to honor all of them, since most are very worthwhile causes. Please know that all requests are given serious consideration. Neptune Island Waterpark is restricted from making any monetary donations to organizations, businesses and/or individuals as specified by the City of Hartsville (Ord. of 4-9-1991; Ord. No. 3038, 3-13-2007). Due to the high volume of requests we receive, however, the following guidelines must be followed to assure fairness for complimentary General Admission ticket donations. 

Request Eligibility 

Neptune Island Waterpark focuses its efforts on assisting non-profit organizations that benefit youth activities, disadvantaged youth, children’s medical related causes, educational programs for youth and the immediate city of Hartsville community (including Darlington County, Florence County, and Chesterfield County). 

We are unable to donate complimentary season passes. All eligible organizations are limited to a maximum of 4 complimentary General Admission tickets per calendar year, unless otherwise specified in writing by the City Manager.

Application Process

We require a formal donation request submitted in writing on organizational letterhead including the nature of the event, 501 (c)3 status, date of the event and how the item will be used (i.e. silent auction, raffle, etc.). The Neptune Island Donation request form must also be completed in its entirety once received. All donation requests must follow the guidelines listed below:

  • Requests must be submitted at least four weeks prior to the date for which the donation is needed, no exceptions.

  • Requests must be emailed to Our Team and include all the listed requirements above. Once received, an application will be emailed for completion.

  • Once approved, the recipient understands that they are responsible for coordinating pick up of any donation.

Additional Notes

Neptune Island Waterpark is not responsible for lost items due to recipient’s request for mailing of items. All donations are non-refundable, non-transferable and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.

Completing an application and following all guidelines noted prior does not ensure donated tickets will be granted.  The City of Hartsville and Neptune Island Waterpark reserves the right to approve or deny any requests at their discretion. The City will distribute a letter of approval or denial within a timely fashion. 

All decisions made by Neptune Island Waterpark and City of Hartsville are final.
